Devin, me, Emily and Bruce love to play tug-a-war(Girls vs. Bruce)!!!! We always do that on the tramp or the living room. Dad runs around the house sometimes, and Bruce chases him. Mom doesn't like the idea but Devin some how convinced her! We love our street because it's so calm and there's so many kids! It's perfect!
My dad says that I have a gift, not a gift you can wrap, a gift that I am born with. He says that my gift is that I can understand whatever Devin says more than anyone. When she gets excited, she talks really fast and I know just what she is talking about. I think it must be frustrating for Devin when people do not understand what she is saying, so it is very important to me for everyone to listen very carefully.
My mom and dad did not know that Devin was going to have Down syndrome. They were surprised, but our whole family welcomed her with so much love. If somebody didn't welcome Devin just because she had Down syndrome, I wouldn't feel welcome either. What about you?
